About the Union
On 19th April 1994, the Union of Czech Spirit's Producers was founded by the most important Czech spirits producers with the aim of promoting and defending common interests and to represent the members to external entities inland and abroad.
As of 1st January 2011, the Union was strengthened significantly, as the three most important importers of spirits, Brown-Forman, Remy Cointreau, and Global Spirits also joined the Union, which resulted it a change of name to the Union of Producers and Importers of Spirits of the Czech Republic.
Praha, 8. listopadu 2024 – Další růst daně z tvrdého alkoholu by byl fatální pro lihovarnictví, sadařství, ale i státní rozpočet, varuje Pavel Dvořáček, šéf společnosti Rudolf Jelínek a prezident Unie výrobců a dovozců lihovin.
Praha, 10. září 2024 – V uplynulých dnech se Unie výrobců a dovozců lihovin (UVDL) obrátila dopisem na vládní i opoziční politiky s žádostí o zrušení dalšího navyšování spotřební daně na lihoviny, plánované na roky 2025 a 2026.

The Pij s rozumem (Drink responsibly) project is an initiative of members of the Union of Producers and Importers of Spirits, which aims to promote the responsible use of alcoholic beverages.
The response of a young person’s body to alcohol is much worse than that of an adult. Making your own opinion is the right thing to do, but it is not always necessary to try everything for yourself. One can learn a lot from shared experience before starting to collect their own.
